Weekend progress
Pretty satisfactory, all things considered. Now at 10448 words. That's the size of the complete chapter 4.
I've found myself in the middle of another Crystal Tokyo flashback. As before, rather depressing writing. This one shouldn't be too long, fortunately.
I'm currently in one of those stages where I'm enjoying writing. Just have to hope it lasts. ^_^

angus, r u an artist at all? I wanted to have actual pictures of the character, besides the fan art. Its funny, I was on the bus 2day and I was playing out a possible scene of the battle between Mars and Jupiter that ended their beautiful friendship. How doo you come up with this stuff?
I'm what you might call an artist of the not-very-good variety. ^_^ In other words, I really can't draw for toffee.
As far as the fan art goes ... that's kind of hard to judge. I don't have a strong mental image of most of the characters—which is why they are sometimes not very closely described. The problem is that I see out of their eyes, rather than seeing their faces. (My mental picture of locations and the action of a scene is much stronger.)
How do I come up with this stuff? I can tell you exactly, in the case of the antipathy between Rei and Makoto. Back when I was writing chapter 4, the subject naturally came up of Artemis wanting to bring them together. But my outline didn't have them meeting until chapter 7, and I suddenly realised that I didn't have a good reason why they shouldn't. So I invented an argument which had gotten out of hand.
Rather prosaic, isn't it? But the idea developed from there...

I see, I see, very interesting. Well I can't wait for the next chapters. I don't care if I'm reading this until the computer has been outclassed. ^_^
